The EARL accreditation guarantees the highest safety standards in PET/MR and PET/CT research

BioSkaner, which received the prestigious EARL 18F Standard 1 and 2 accreditation for the Siemens Biograph mMR PET/MR scanner, has once again obtained this accreditation for 2025. The accreditation, granted by the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), confirms that our facility meets the highest international standards in PET/MR diagnostics.

The goal of the EARL program is the continuous improvement of nuclear medicine and the support of innovative scientific and clinical initiatives. Centers that obtain PET/MR or PET/CT accreditation must meet specific requirements set by the EANM, and the certificate is awarded individually for each scanner.

The EARL FDG-PET/CT accreditation program, launched in 2010 and approved by the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Imaging Group, provides independent quality control.

The benefits of obtaining EARL accreditation include:

  1. Harmonization of PET scan reconstruction and interpretation, which reduces variability in results between institutions and allows for comparison and exchange.
  2. Standardization of methods through precise, repeatable, and quantitative assessment of test results, covering all stages – from patient preparation to image analysis.
  3. Ensuring the highest quality in daily clinical practice, which translates into more accurate diagnoses and better patient care.

With the EARL accreditation for 2025, BioSkaner ensures compliance with international standards in PET/MR diagnostics, guaranteeing patients the latest safety and quality standards.
